English Official Language

New arrivals to this country must adopt American values and learn Engligh, President Bush said Wednesday, June 7, 2006, pushing anew for his proposal to overhaul immigration rules.

Bush as-much-as said, English is the official language of the United States of America:

"One aspect of making we have an immigration system that works, thats' orderly and fair, is to actively reach out and help people to assimilate into our country,…"

What a concept !

"…That means to learn the values and history and language of America."

Imagine that !

The President's speech goes along the same lines with an highly respected historian of eduction Diane Ravitch, said; "schools should say to students of other cultures, that wherever they have come from, wherever their parents have come from, they are now preparing to be American Citizens… They must learn American History, Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Bill of Rights."

Seymour Lipset, historical scholar put it this way; "The histories of bilingual and bi-cultural societies that do not assimilate are histories of turmoil, tension, and tragedy."

Bush's Omaha visit rounded up a two-day journey devoted to immigration reform.

Affirmative Action Confirmed

Appeals court denise “EVERY CHILD EDUCATION” by upholding Seattle’s system, lets students pick high schools, then relies on tiebreakers, includes race, decide who gets into schools.

The lower court decision was based in part on the Supreme Court ruling in 2003, written by O’Conner, that learning institutions could select students based on part-race.

Today, Supreme Court said it will decide the extent to which public schools can use RACE in deciding assignments, setting the stage for affirmative action.

Crystal Meredith, claimed her son was denied entrance into the neighborhood school because he was WHITE.  The Jefferson County School District, which covers metro-Lousiville, Ky…., has approximatly 100,000 students, was orderd to desegregate in 1974.

If the Supreme Court uphold the Affirmative Action for the public schools, colleges, and universities ability to select students base on their race for addmitance, then the other child will be benied their education oppertunity due to race selection.

It is becomming to the point, ”not what you know, your qualifications, or accidemics” -what is your RACE?
